Every Good About Page Should Speak to Your Audience…

But I’m breaking the rules. I believe that work is way more fun when you like the people you work with. Here’s a little about me to help you decide if we’re a good fit!

Allow me to introduce myself…

Hi, I’m Kelly!

This is my story.

Sitting at my parents’ circa-2006-era Macintosh desktop, I tackled my first major writing assignment. I sat there, covered in highlighter ink and potato chip crumbs, puzzling over how to craft a compelling argument through deep research and strong language, and thought, “I really love this.”

Falling in love with the writing process is what drove me into a decade-long career in Marketing. And that 10-year education is what fuels my copy and content approach today.

As a writer for B2B brands in SaaS, financial services, and other service-based industries, I help companies in complex spaces connect with their audience and convert more leads by crafting human-first content that artfully brings together facts, data-backed insights, unique messaging and tone of voice, subject matter expertise, product or service positioning and jargon-free language.

If you have a content project that needs puzzling, let’s talk about how I can help!

My Experience

  • Received a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Communication & Media from Villanova University at an accelerated pace. I love school and considered pursuing academia to continue learning—but then I realized I could do that no matter my career.

  • Rapidly climbed the ladder at a Top 10 Financial Services Public Relations firm, telling my clients’ stories and getting them featured in prominent media outlets like CNBC, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, and others.

  • Led Content Strategy & Development at a growing B2B SaaS platform, where I honed my direct response copywriting & SEO-driven content writing skills.

  • Helped fuel a rocket ship as employee #1 at one of the fastest growing marketing & growth consultancies in the financial services space, where I led marketing strategy and drove impactful results for several FinTechs, RIAs, IBDs, investment services firms, and others.

On a personal note, how ‘bout some fun facts?

  • I have no less than 179 different names for my sassy calico Smores & sweet 13-year-old golden retriever Dozer.

  • I drive a bright blue Jeep and put the roof down even when it’s “too cold.”

  • Making unintentional puns in everyday conversation is a secret talent of mine.

  • I played “You Can Call Me Al” on the trumpet at my wedding. Family members now greet me by loudly humming the melody at me. It’s fine. It’s fun. Really.

  • I’m working on that whole, stereotypical caffeine-addicted-writer thing.

  • You can expect me to light up every Slack conversation with The Office, Parks & Rec, Ted Lasso, and Schitt’s Creek GIFs.

  • I play a lot of sports and love connecting with people over our mutual appreciation: CrossFit, rock climbing, pickleball, skiing, volleyball, golf (badly), cycling, and running (reluctantly).

  • Books are life. I read a lot of fantasy and science fiction, and listen to a lot of professional and personal development audiobooks.
